On Saturday 27th February the village of Middle Barton rung out with the sound of laughter! Inside the village hall were a wonderful band of people who had rehearsed long and hard to put together a fantastic show to raise as much money as possible for Breast Cancer. The evening was organised by John and Alison Umney who had managed to persuade musicians, am drams, singers, poets and a group of 4 gorgeous men calling themselves the ‘Village People’ to take part in this fundraising event. The evening was loosely themed around the subject of boobs, with John donning his dames outfit for the ever present Dame Twin Peaks Kili Man Jaro. Great fun was had by all that attended and a fantastic £1258 was raised towards the teams target, taking us over the £16,000 raised so far.
Thank you to everyone involved in this magnificent event – I am sure it will be remembered for a very long time.
